Over the past 10 years (or more), I have taken to creating a fair number of web pages. In that time, I have sometimes done it for other people, keeping to a basic principle that simplicity matters a great deal – and a cleanly coded page will age better over time than something that’s too flashy to maintain. I know people like a little explosion, but if your site can’t be edited by someone without a specific piece of software or expertise, why bother. Everyone should have the chance to have a web site that says something about them, but also allows them to say it – whenever they want.
With that in mind, Back to Basics Web came about – and has stayed true to that principle. I don’t claim to work wonders – but, those who I’ve worked with still use the sites I created for them, actively and effectively.
