Short one today – basically, thanks IT.
Yes, I know, they can be a pain sometimes. However, my first day at work yesterday found a friendly and effective IT team setting me up with a user account and email account in under an hour – and, in my books, that’s quite good. I would have liked some of the hardware necessary for a job, like a phone, but that comes under a different area and the poor guy has been ill.
In the past I have had a traumatic experience, waiting days just to get a user account or even access to my own desktop – so, my experience yesterday proved a better than average one. And I showed my appreciation by thanking all concerned.
Yes, I might have laid it on thick, but better to make IT feel special now so I have credit later on, right?
