As happens on an irregular basis, I have gone for a complete reformatting of the boreders themes. I always like to try something a little different, ideally something at a tangent to whatever went before. So, I have cast aside the garish orange of the last theme and gone for a something subdued and minimalist.

I will likely tweak the style and graphics before I’m done. The base style has no images at all, so there’s room for quite a bit of tweaking if I feel inclined.

Profy Pops Up

I don’t have much to do with blogs. Hardly write online at all. Never engage in pointless chit-chat and banter simply to fill space.

Oh… OK. Who am I kidding? I have one or two blogs around here somewhere. And now, I have an ‘experimental’ blog – on the alpha test – over at profy.com. The blog comes from Russian coders and shows promise. Apparently we’re only seeing about 20% of the potential functionality so far – but the site seeks to combine blogging and social networking into a natural whole.

I shall blog here and there about my experience and findings. Over there I inhabit the Borederland – so, if you get the chance, do read and maybe even try it yourself.

Omega Complex

Bolstered into some kind of extra writing effort, I have now updated the software and theme of my PARANOIA blog, Omega Complex. It looks rather neat, if I must say so myself.

I’m especially impressed by the excellent Dynamic Text Replacement script used to give the site all those fancy titles. The script takes basic header tags and turns them into .PNG graphics at the drop of a hat, based on whatever font you choose. An elegant piece of scripting – much appreciated by this blogger.

New Look… Hang On…

I have taken more than four-and-a-half years to make this decision, but in the end I had to… I have a few blogs to juggle here and the old format made it difficult to handle. Now I can see what I’m not posting all over the place – and keep this journal up to date a little more simply. It might take a moment or two to shift some of the old material over here; I can’t possibly leave Metal Mickey and James Bond Jnr alone in the dark to fend for themselves. You’ll just have to hang on a moment…
