A Model Major General

Sad news indeed on the death of Don S. Davis, who played General Hammond, in Stargate, and Major Briggs, in Twin Peaks. He had a great presence on camera and played some solid, long-running characters. Only last week I read an article about the longevity of ‘Peaks’ as a classic weirdness – and the writer mentioned they has spoken with Don in the past about whether he would care to return to the series. It would seem he would have done… but, I guess it doesn’t matter now. His passing is a great loss indeed, and I look forward to seeing one of his last performances when ‘Stargate SG1: Continuum’ finally hits the small screen.
